The Wyeth-Tootle Mansion is a historic St. Joe institution filled with old-world architecture, dramatic details, and gorgeous light. It's served a lot of purposes over the years, from private home to history museum. For Josh & Sadie it was the perfect backdrop for their late winter engagement session. As a Kansas City engagement photographer, I’m always drawn to locations that give a session a sense of story. Rather than simply posing in front of beautiful architecture, we leaned into the mood of the mansion and allowed it to shape the imagery. My intention was to weave movement, composition, and connection throughout their session. I want my couples to be a little expressive, a little fashion-forward, and completely present with one another.
